Christie's International Real Estate draws on the heritage of Christie's auction house, founded in London in 1766. Its real estate history began with Great Estates, founded in 1987 and acquired by Christie's in 1995.
Today, the network connects leading independent agencies across 50+ countries and territories. In May 2026, Christie's International Real Estate launched its New South Wales affiliate, bringing this international reach to Sydney, Newcastle, the Hunter and key regional markets.
In Newcastle and the Hunter, our work is defined by the standard of our representation, not the price of the property. Every home receives a tailored strategy, thoughtful presentation and focused representation.
Every campaign is led by Mitchel Ross and Melisa Macey Ross, whose complementary strengths in negotiation, strategy and client care are backed by a wider team and the structure of Christie's International Real Estate.
Born and raised in Merewether, Mitchel Ross brings strong local knowledge and a genuine understanding of Newcastle's coastal market. In two years of real estate, he has established a proven sales record across family homes, coastal properties and prestige residences throughout Newcastle and the Hunter.
His previous experience across international sales, marketing, athlete management and creative direction informs his strengths in negotiation, communication and property positioning. Calm, approachable and quietly determined, Mitchel is known for considered advice, a strong work ethic and his ability to understand each client's priorities.
A respected international surfing coach, Mitchel has worked with elite athletes including Olympic gold medallist Carissa Moore and World Champion Molly Picklum. He brings the same preparation, discipline and resolve to property, with confidence in his judgement and a willingness to lead the candid conversations a campaign may require.
Melisa Macey Ross brings a professional background spanning luxury fashion, psychology and operations, combining an intuitive understanding of people with a strong eye for design, presentation and detail.
Her career includes more than a decade in luxury fashion across global sales, partnerships, product development and creative campaigns, working across international markets including New Zealand, Japan and the United States. Her study of psychology and professional background in clinical operations have strengthened her ability to communicate clearly, manage complex processes and support people through significant decisions.
Working alongside Mitchel across Newcastle and the Hunter, Melisa brings a calm, considered approach to every client relationship. She focuses on thoughtful presentation, clear communication and ensuring each campaign feels personal, organised and carefully managed from beginning to end.
As Newcastle and Hunter specialists, Mitchel and Melisa bring local knowledge, strategic marketing, skilled negotiation and attentive client care to every campaign.
Behind each campaign sits a broader team working across marketing, design, copywriting and campaign coordination, alongside the national and international structure of Christie's International Real Estate. A vendor is never reliant on one person's time; specialists are involved at each stage, from early strategy through to settlement.

Each campaign was shaped by the property, the market and the people behind it, with a tailored approach to presentation, buyer engagement and negotiation.
Every property is different, as are the priorities of the people behind it. We shape each campaign around the home, the market and what matters most to you.
Each campaign is shaped around the property, its market and the buyers most likely to value it. Purposeful presentation and strategic exposure work together to build interest and create genuine competition.

Christie's International Real Estate connects strong independent agencies through shared knowledge, international relationships and broader marketing opportunities. This global reach is supported by local strategy, ensuring each opportunity remains relevant to the property and its likely buyer market.
International media, editorial and magazine opportunities are assessed individually and are not automatic inclusions in every campaign.
For vendors who may also wish to sell fine art, jewellery, watches, wine or other collectables, we can facilitate an introduction to the appropriate specialists at Christie's auction house to discuss valuation and potential consignment.
Founded in London in 1766, Christie's conducts auctions and private sales across more than 80 categories, with an Asia Pacific presence that includes Hong Kong and Shanghai. This connection allows clients to explore the sale of significant pieces alongside their property journey, with each handled by specialists in their respective field.
All items are subject to assessment and acceptance by Christie's auction house.
You will always understand what is happening, what buyers are telling us and what we recommend next.
Our role is to protect your interests, present your property at its best and pursue the strongest possible result.
We would welcome the opportunity to understand your goals, discuss the market and consider the right approach for your property.
